What is this course about?
By now, the use of digital content informs all aspects of everyday life. Thanks to smartphones, laptops and computers, we can be reached at any time. Nevertheless, many functions are only known rudimentarily.
This course wants to teach you, the participants, basic knowledge of current operating systems, of how to work with a file system using the Windows systems as an example, and of how to exchange files and edit them collaboratively.
During this seven-week course, various possibilities for creating and exchanging files will be presented. Different learning techniques will be used:
Through screencasts and screenshots with quizzes, we will present information via interactive content.

Finally, interactive questions will help you check your learning progress.

Kai Obermüller
Hello, I'm Kai!
I studied mathematics and chemistry as a teacher and currently work as a freelance writer. MOOCs have occupied me for more than five years, at that time mainly as a participant. For two years now I have also been creating courses on oncampus, among others for Kiron University.
I would say that I live very digitally - my smartphone and my computer are almost rooted in me. Even as a teenager I gave computer courses for interested people - at a time when computers had to be connected with coaxial cables. (If you don't know that any more, that was really a long time ago!) Today it's my concern to convey to my students that this world out there also has a digital level.
Addie
Hello everybody out there! I am Addie. I am a friend of Kai. Just like Kai I live very digital. Actually I exist only in digital form. But I am always there for you. Together with Kai I lead you through this course. I am sure that you will have a lot of fun. Just like me. Let's get started!
Aghyad Alghazally
Hey, I am Aghyad,
I am a Software Engineering student at the University of Applied Sciences in Lübeck. As a technical, I am used to learn through MOOCs and online platforms. Over the years I realized the many benefits of learning online especially for University students. The digital revolution will change our world completely. But! It's not as intricate as it sounds, and I would like to share this experience with you in order to help you to make life more practical, happier, and, of course, easier.
